Description
We go to estate sales regularly and come across a wide array of unique and rare items. We add to our growing online inventory daily. We pick up new items from all over the world and all over the US. We also have a growing customer wish list. If you'd like to, feel free to add us to your saved seller's list and let us know what you collect and/or need. We’d be honored to add you to our customer wish list.We ask what we consider to be a fair price for anything we sell and understand that our idea of a fair price may be someone else's 'that's too much' price. If that's the case, feel free to make us an offer and will consider it. We also have sales regularly, so check back often.
There is always a Sale by TheBay!
We just went to an estate sale of a gentleman who was an avid auto enthusiast with a fairly significant history in the local hot rod scene here in the Marietta, or more widely, Atlanta, GA area. Mr. Charles Holtzclaw helped found the Georgia Street Rod Association in 1976. The GSRA is one of the oldest associations of its kind in America. We picked up a handful of unique items with most of them being one of a kind automotive collectibles and all of them being very rare and hard to find. We picked up 15 cool vintage trophies mainly from the late 1960s through the early 1970s, a bunch of dash plaques, participation awards and other cool items. We'll be listing them all this weekend, so if that's up your alley, we'll certainly work on a package price and combined shipping.
Now onto the item for sale.
For sale is a very cool and one of a kind automotive collectible.
This solid aluminum stein was given to Charles and includes the etched inscription 'CHARLES HOLTZCLAW PARTICIPATION AWARD 1973 9TH ANNUAL CAR SHOW CAR CREEPERS CLUB'.
This stein is extra large and will hold plenty of 12 ounce beers. It has a thumb rest (to open the lid) shaped like a crown with a plastic liner inside. We filled it up with 64 ounces which was a bit over 1" from the top of the liner. 80 ounces filled it all the way to the top.
This stein stands 10" tall to the top of the lid with an 8 3/8" bottom diameter and a 6 1/4" diameter at the top of the mug, or bottom.
Condition wise, this mug is in very nice 46 year old condition. It has some marks it has picked up on the aluminum over the decades and some wear to the handle and thumb rest, but all in all, it is in great condition and can definitely be used to drink your favorite beverage. The white plastic liner is very clean and still bright white. This stein is a bit dirty from not having been cleaned in quite some time, but we trust polishing it up a bit would really make this stein look even better.
This item will weigh about 3 pounds when packed for shipping.
We offer a couple shipping options, just make your selection upon checkout.
Thanks for looking and God bless!
