    Description

    A heavy 19th century Philippine Mindanao Kris (also called a Sundang) from the Sulu Archipelago of the Tausug tribe, double edged 17 inch wavy pattern welded forged blade with a central and 2 silver stirrups, the hilt completely covered with tied and knotted cord, horse hoof type pommel, the original wooden scabbard covered in rattan, the top and bottom with applied t/shell and silver pin decoration, the top and bottom of the sheath also with applied nickel strip. Overall 22½ inches.
