Vintage Antique Octagon Asian Box Trick Opening 3 Compartments Jewelry Treasure

Welcome : a treasure or jewelry box, octagon, lift the lid, then on one side of the box, you can find a split on one length side seam, spread it and the three hidden layers of boxes unfold...to put it back together, you will have to gently guide the pieces back into stacking shape, close the box lid and no one will know about the 3 hidden compartments below...it has wear, a lovely bird on top...the clasp and handles are a worn metal and I believe they are shaped like bats...Chinoiseries? Japanese? Chinese?...I have no idea but it is not found on any of my google searches..The pic's actually make the wear look worse than it really is, alas, better to emphasize than avoid pic's that hide it..[.I have been fooled by purchases I have made that do not fully disclose the wear or damage and I do not want disappointed customers]....any info welcomed...thanks for lookin...DIMENTIONS: 7 1/2" tall, 8" wide, almost 4 lbs. before packaging...pick up is free
