    Description

    Charming and rare vintage French enamelware colander food strainer, circa 1900 - 1940, with stamped makers mark on the bottom (appears to be a outline of a lionhead). Colander/strainer is still functional and perfect for washing off and draining berries from your garden or a small serving of pasta! Bowl area measures 6.5 inches in diameter while the base with holes for draining off water or broth measures 4.75 inches in diameter; 2.75 inches deep. The hook at one end is used to attach to the side of pot while the long handle rests on the other edge of the pot. Long handle for ease of use and to hang on the farmhouse kitchen wall when not in use. Handle measures 6.5 inches long. Overall measures 13 inches long. Enamel shows age and use with chips along the edges, on the bottom and the white enamel interior. No rust. Still functional in your French country kitchen!
